Maruti Eeco comes with 1196cc petrol engine that puts out a power of 74 PS at 6,000 rpm with a torque of 101 Nm at 3,000 rpm and offers a mileage of 20.4 km/kg with the CNG variant and 15.1 km/l with the petrol variant.
Competition Check: Tata Venture is powered by 1405cc diesel engine that is good for 71PS@4500rpm and puts out a torque of 135Nm@2500rpm. It gives a mileage of 15.42 kmpl.
Eeco features square-ish headlamps flanking the horizontally slatted front grille. The lower bumpers do get fog lamp inserts, but there are no lights as standard.
Eeco’s overall design is boxy and one can see that in its bonnet, quarter panels, headlights, taillights, side profile and even on the inside.
Keyless entry is not available in Eeco.

The taillight cluster of Eeco carries an upright tall structure and is done using a combination of red, orange and clear glass.
The steering wheel of Eeco is just a basic one, while the instrumentation cluster houses only the speedometer and some usual warning lights and a basic display screen to show kilometers run and trip.
Competition Check: Venture gets better interiors with more ergonomic and pleasing setup.

There isn’t much in the central console except some storage spaces and an empty slot given to put in the music system.
There aren't much of the storage spaces in the Eeco except for the glove box and a few on the central portion of dashboard.
Competition Check: Venture gets an array of cubby holes and storage spaces that are way more than that of the Eeco.
Eeco’s front seats are good for reach and recline adjustments only.
As far as space is concerned, Eeco has plenty of headroom and legroom for all five passengers or seven passengers in case of the 7-seater version.
